Susan Fox serves as Executive Vice President and Head of U.S. Government Relations for The Walt Disney Company.

She leads Disney’s U.S. government relations team, which represents the company to Members of Congress, the White House, regulatory agencies, state and local governments, and trade associations. Fox and her team are responsible for advocating on an extensive number of domestic policy matters on behalf of The Walt Disney Company and its portfolio of businesses.

During her more than two decades at the company, Fox has steered the company’s approach to a myriad of policy, regulatory, and corporate reputational issues, including those related to compliance, copyright, litigation, media, privacy, streaming, tax, technology, trade, travel, and trademark, among others. She also serves as a strategic advisor to the executive leadership team. Additionally, Fox represents Disney on the boards of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), Creative Future, and the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition (USGLC).

Prior to joining Disney, she held a number of senior roles at the FCC, including advising former FCC Chairman William Kennard. Fox started her career as a litigator at Hogan Lovells, after clerking for the Honorable H. Robert Mayer, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.

Fox is a graduate of Lafayette College, where she received, with magna cum laude distinction, a Bachelor of Arts in engineering, and where she now serves as a member of the Board of Trustees. She earned her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law.

She lives with her husband, Jeffrey Markowitz, in Arlington, Virginia, and has four children.
