Our impressive roster of engaged and sophisticated members, coupled with our exceptional event attendance (often more than 500) and high profile, global media coverage make the Economic Club of Washington a sought-after forum for influential speakers from across the region and around the world.
Presidents and Prime Ministers…members of Congress and Fortune 100 CEOs…Treasury Secretaries and Federal Reserve Board chairs: the Economic Club of Washington is unique in presenting the very highest caliber of world-renowned speakers. Through our Global Initiatives efforts, the Club actively engages thought-leaders from the global business, policy, and diplomatic sectors at our Signature Events. Explore our list of distinguished past speakers.
Executive Conversations are small-group gatherings of approximately 30-75 Economic Club members. These more intimate settings allow Club members to interact with speakers through the in-depth exploration of subjects of compelling interest to the United States' business community. These sessions are typically closed to the media.
The Economic Club is particularly interested in expanding the international focus of Executive Conversations. We partner with embassies, through our Global Initiative program, to provide ambassadors and global business leaders the opportunity to share their perspectives on economic and political relationships between the U.S. and their nations.
In addition to our recent Global Initiative events featuring Singapore's Ambassador Ashok Mirpuri and Ambassador of the United Kingdom Sir Kim Darroch, Global Executive Conversation topics have included the normalization of relationships with Cuba, health care, public policy’s impact on the technology business, government in the District of Columbia, and the state of the presidential primaries.
