The Economic Club of Washington, D.C. is pleased to announce a special Signature Event providing an Insider's Look at Major League Baseball. The in-person dinner will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2025.The reception will begin at 6:00 p.m., followed by the dinner and program at 7:00 p.m., ending promptly at 9:00 p.m.
Economic Club Chair David Rubenstein, Chairman, CEO, and Principal Owner, Baltimore Orioles, will moderate a discussion with:
- Cal Ripken, Jr., Minority Owner, Baltimore Orioles and Former Orioles Player - Retired from baseball in 2001 after 21 seasons with the Orioles. He was later inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
- Catie Griggs, President of Business Operations, Baltimore Orioles - Joined the Orioles in 2024 and oversees the club’s business strategy and fan experience while driving new community and growth initiatives.
- Mike Elias, President of Baseball Operations and General Manager, Baltimore Orioles - Promoted ahead of the 2025 season, he leads the Orioles’ baseball operations and shapes the organization’s next chapter, including plans to expand his front-office team.
