Dennis A. Muilenburg, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Boeing Company visited the Economic Club for a luncheon event during an exciting and eventful time in his company’s history. During his conversation with David Rubenstein, Muilenburg provided insight on Boeing’s cutting-edge innovation across a multitude of industries, including commercial air, defense, and aerospace technologies. He also discussed the importance of global trade policy and recent initiatives by the Administration that affect the company globally. Muilenburg downplayed the effect of the recent steel tariffs put in place by President Trump, saying that he does not see it having a material effect on the business. On the Iran Deal, he noted that Boeing will continue to follow the lead of the U.S. government, after the U.S.’ withdraw from the Deal resulted in cancellation of the sale of numerous Boeing airplanes to Iran Air.
