Nominate a New Member
Economic Club membership is limited in number and includes CEOs of local corporations, managing partners in leading law and accounting firms, executives of top consulting, technology, and research organizations, and national heads of associations and other entities in healthcare, insurance, culture and education and other businesses and professions. Members convene at least five times a year for a luncheon, dinner or breakfast at which they can bring a limited number of guests at a reasonable fee. Events are held at the city’s leading hotels. By tradition, one dinner each year is black tie. The Economic Club is a 501(c)(3) organization and for tax purposes, dues are considered a charitable contribution.
The procedure for applying for membership in the Club requires that applicants be proposed by a current Club member and seconded by another current Club member. The candidate’s bio and a letter of recommendation must also be submitted to complete this application. In recommending applicants, the Membership Committee shall take into consideration applicants’ business and professional achievements, governmental and diplomatic service, and community involvement. The Membership Committee meets regularly to consider member nominations. Members are required to pay annual dues for membership in the Economic Club.
